Alcohol policy

IFC ratified a new policy regarding alcoholic beverages on chapter properties and at chapter events in the Fall of 2018. This new policy took effect on January 1st, 2019 and prohibits the presence of hard alcohol (>15% ABV) at chapter events unless exemption requirements are met. In order to do so, chapters must gain approval from IFC by completting the form below and providing proof of the required documents.


CHAPTER APPLICATION

Requests will be approved so long as all requirements from this checklist are met. The applicaiton can be filled out here. All exemption forms and necessary documents must be completed and submitted via email seven (7) days prior to the event. Please send to judicial@texasifc.com


Why The new Policy

Nearly all hazing and over-consumption deaths in the past two years have involved students consuming high-percentage alcohol beverages. The Conference felt it was critically important to act with one voice to effectively implement an industry-wide standard.
